When CaliCam is the wrong tool

Not every workout needs a camera, a count, or an app. These are the cases where CaliCam should stay in your pocket.

When you need medical or rehabilitation guidance

CaliCam is a fitness product, not a medical device. A count cannot diagnose an injury, prescribe rehabilitation, or decide whether a movement is safe for your body. If pain, recovery or a medical condition shapes the session, work with a qualified professional.

When the room cannot support the camera

The counter needs your whole movement in frame, reasonable light, and a place to put the phone. A crowded class, a treadmill, a dark garage with the light behind you: skip the camera and just train.

When your training cannot fit the camera

CaliCam does not count rowing, sled pushes or running. Its library includes some equipment exercises, such as barbell back squats and kettlebell swings, but machine stations and running remain different jobs. Use the tool built for those sessions.

When counting gets in the way

Some days the best session is the one nobody measured. If setting up the phone is the reason you did not start, do not set up the phone.
